Step 1: discover your network assets in a couple of clicks
Network Inventory Advisor makes asset tracking and network assets discovery simple and time-effective. Download, install and launch Network Inventory Advisor; you will have the option to run Smart Scan, which will find all your network assets automatically, or scan nodes by IP/names, specify IP-range, add nodes from Active Directory, network places or even import them from a text file.
Step 2: organize your IT assets into manageable units
Computer assets management is greatly simplified when all discovered IT assets are automatically grouped according to their network parameters. Additionally you can create groups yourself by simply selecting the nodes in the network tree and joining them. Network Inventory Advisor also lets you accomplish many tasks with a group of IT assets or just multiple selected assets in several groups: scan, change location, specify financial information, etc
Step 3: software assets management with Network Inventory Advisor
Once you scan your network and collect all software in one convenient list (see Network Summary -> All software), you are ready to cope with software assets inventory. Network Inventory Advisor is a great computer asset management software and it lets you track software licenses, warranties, upgrades. You will see which software is installed in every node, if the needed version is present, if forbidden applications are run by your users, or if must-have software is missing. You can track antivirus, other security software and automatic updates status. By looking at convenient reports you can easily manage software assets compliance.
Step 4: hardware assets management: hardware tracking and change management
ClearApps lets you cover all computer asset management tasks including hardware management. All discovered network assets are scanned for hardware details. Select any node in the network tree and switch to "Hardware" tab. You will see the list of its hardware assets. Whenever you re-scan your network and there's a change detected you will be notified with an alert and a special changes report will be compiled, so you can cope with the ongoing hardware assets tracking easily.
Step 5: tracking all types of information about your IT assets
When you need to attach any type of information into your network, just use "custom fields" functions already available in Network Inventory Advisor. Select a node, and click "Add custom field". You can use pre-defined field types or add yours any time. Later on all these fields are automatically available in your reports. This feature makes Network Inventory Advisor the perfect asset management software for organization of any size.
